Born To Explore?

As we grown we often try to explain and rationalize why we are the way we are. I love travelling and seeing new places with my whole heart. I have since I was a little girl. It might be from getting post cards from a travelling uncle overseas in my childhood, it could have been growing up as a 1st generation American who was lucky enough to get to travel to their parents country & get used to being on airplanes when I was so little, perhaps it was my doting grandmother who told me stories of her adventures, taking me on yearly vacations– to teach the importance of getting out of the city now then.

Maybe there are some roots of wandering nomadic traveling ancestors flow through my veins, begging me to see all the places on the strange map my DNA tests paint, as well as every other place in between or lived as an explorer in my past life and now the allure and seduction are now an age old vice I cannot ignore.

Or, maybe it’s not even that deep. Maybe it’s just that seeing new things, meeting new people, building connection and community is an inherently human thing to love and I’ve gotten very attached to it.

Either way, I have been blessed with the ability to pursue my love for travelling and I’m so grateful for it. This blog will be dedicated to everyone who has supported, inspired and encouraged my adventures, fed my cat while I was away, joined me on an adventure and invited me for a visit for one. I hope you all enjoy my recounts of my adventures!

I’m still pretty new to wordpress, so I hope everyone will be patient with me as I figure it out and dig through my brain to the days where I coded myspace pages as a 14 year old. There’s a donation form at the bottom of my main page for anyone out there who wants to fund my adventures or just buy me a beer on my way exploring the globe.

Best,

BG
